I am an established maker running a ceramics workshop in West Dorset.  I produce handmade ceramic products which include tiles presented as multiples in framed collections, buttons and coasters. Framed work ranges from a single tile to a collection of over a 100 small circular tiles, all  inspired by the coastal environment I live in.My work explores fragments and partial imagery reflecting the incomplete fossils and shells I collect on the beach.  Working in high-fired porcelain, I produce delicate slithers of tiles each decorated with platinum and coloured images. Using natural botanical finds, beach-combed debris, seaweed and fossil forms, each image is transfer printed onto the snow-white glazed tile.  I studied BA hons Crafts and graduated in 1992 with a first class honours degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. I then went on to an MA in Heritage Studies at Nottingham Trent University.I regularly exhibit at The Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey, Open Studio events and as Affordable Art Fairs in London and the South West. I supply a number of Galleries, museum shops and independent retails in the UK.
