Diane Bailey applies her background in zoology, conservation and architecture, along with her unremitting interest in wildlife, to inform most of her current work. Her vibrant images are produced using acrylic on board. Her work, although fast and intuitive, is balanced by strong composition and carefully observed details, bringing life, personality and authenticity to the creatures she depicts. A category winner for BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year, her work has also been selected or shortlisted by the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, South West Academy, Society of Wildlife Artists, London, and the Royal West of England Academy.
