Jenny Pery, Painter/Printmaker and Art Historian, now lives and works full-time on  Dartmoor, having moved from Scotland and amalgamated her Scottish and Devon studios. Born in India, she has travelled extensively throughout her life, and most of her art derives from drawings in the numerous sketchbooks she takes on her travels. Having originally studied languages (Russian and French) at Oxford, in her late thirties she fulfilled a long-held ambition to take a Fine Art degree, and later took a Masters in Printmaking at Camberwell College of Art in London. Her semi-abstract landscapes explore oils, acrylics and various forms of printmaking using her Albion press and the two etching presses in her studio.  She is a member of the Devonshire Association (Visual Arts), the South West Academy, the Plymouth Society of Artists and the 21 Group of Artists. She has published many monographs on artists, and has written articles for many catalogues and journals.
