Jude Freeman studied History of Art at Sussex University and the Ecole du Louvre and following a career in teaching and research in art schools (Brighton, Hereford and Camberwell) she began etching after moving to Dartmoor. Jude's etchings offer an artist's response to the shifting atmosphere of a Dartmoor garden through the seasons. Through cultivation, close observation and drawing the ever-changing moods of a garden reveal themselves . As do the lives of individual plants, offering a rare glimpse of a natural order made up of complex relationships, cycles of growth, decay and renewal.
