Peter Goodhall, a recognised professional artist, since his first solo show at the Northcott Theatre in 1980 has been widely exhibited, published and holds a collection of international art awards. Influenced by photo-realism he remains a representational painter working predominantly in oils. Having always been fascinated by water, his paintings of water and those combining water with the female nude, are worked exclusively from his own photography. His work has a high degree of realism, capturing the sensual forms and patterns which emphasise both movement and the play of light creating images that are bold yet tranquil, abstract yet representational.
