The main body of Craig’s work is of Plymouth Sound, in Devon, looking out and across from Cawsand and Kingsand. Craig’s practice begins with taking notes, writing observations and making drawings within his journals and sketchbooks, these are then used to develop the paintings within his studio. Using these Craig endeavours to convey the same connection he has with the sea and share this with the viewer looking at his work. He describes the works as windows upon the sea. Craig’s work is a record of a moment in time, a memory or an expression of a place he knows intimately.
