A fulltime potter since 2005, Karen uses various techniques to create her individual stoneware ceramics for gardens and interiors. Seed pods, plant forms and landscape textures influence her designs, which range from tiny pebbles, vases and planters to wall plaques and one-off sculptures. Her aim is always to combine interesting surface textures with bold shapes. Fascinated since childhood by creating 3D objects, clay presents her with a constant but addictive challenge. Karen shows her work in various annual sculpture exhibitions and festivals, as well as at her studio in the beautiful grounds of a restored kitchen garden.
