Lucy Rockliffe is a Raku Ceramic Artist. Her passion for clay and the processes of transformation associated with smoke firing, has led Lucy to focus on one-off hand-built sculptural ceramics. Geology, weathered landscapes, archaeology and the natural world are a constant inspiration to her sculptures. These might be mythical birds, endangered beasts, clocks, containers, or ‘discovered objects’. Lucy graduated from Bristol Art College in 1979 in Fine Art. She exhibits locally and is also a community artist for schools and groups. She works from her home workshop and with organicARTS running land based creative workshops.
